"During my two years at Mesa College, the HSI/STEM Conexiones services have greatly impacted my experience as both a student and employee. I have had the opportunity to utilize the STEM Center for its GIS software, collection of textbooks, tutoring, drop-in counseling, and comfortable study space. I participated in STEM Core, where I fast-tracked my path to Calculus while developing professional skills within my cohort. Additionally, I have had the pleasure of being employed under the Title III/STEM team, as a tutor and administrative staff member. I have worked as a tutor within the Classroom Tutoring program and at special events like Mathletics. Working with my fellow students has fostered my connection to the learning community on campus and allowed me to give back to a program that has aided my development. Thanks in part to the support I received through these programs and their staff, I will be transferring to Columbia University in Fall 2019."
